The End of a Great Weekend

Sunday in Gatlinburg consisted of sleeping in, Jason L and I cooking our specialties for lunch (mine: corn chowder, his: hashbrown casserole) and just sitting around enjoying the nice weather and the great company. Then we all got ready and drove through the mountains towards Cades Cove, took a bunch of really fun photos on the river, and headed back into town for dinner. We decided not to make the drive into Sevierville because of the traffic and lack of time, so we ate at Cherokee Grill, walked through Gatlinburg to get some fudge, and went back to the house to watch Sweeney Todd. Then we sat around by the fire sharing stories from our childhoods for about three hours before everyone made their way to bed.

Monday morning we woke up to snow flurries!!! As we packed the car, ate at Pancake Pantry one last time, and drove through Tennessee we got to watch the snow fall. It was beautiful! It made us all very happy, and we didn’t want to leave! But we made the 8 hour drive home (traffic was awful). Now I’m back to work, and I’m missing everyone already!

This will hopefully be the beginning of an annual tradition :)

And one for everyone on the trip before I go…
“Get that cracka outta my no-no square!”
