Mashoonga!

I have become a bad blogger. I am usually posting a weekly travel destination blog, as well as So You Think You Can Dance videos, and it just isn’t happening lately! To be honest, I’m not super impressed with SYTYCD. Not as much as last season anyway. And I haven’t even seen last Thursday’s to know who was kicked off. I will get back to those travel blogs one of these days, though!

In the meantime, my life has been Bill and Erin central lately. We’ve been planning their wedding all weekend while celebrating the 4th. It was a really really really fun weekend with the family. Bill, Erin, and Prosper came into town and I stayed at my parents’ house so we could spend all weekend just hanging out. Prosper’s 10th birthday is coming up next week, so my Mom and I got to go to Toys R Us and pick out presents for him. My Mom had him play 20 Questions to try to find where his presents were hidden all over the house and he loved it! He got 4 playground balls, a set of noise-making Hulk hands, Mashoonga Warrior sticks, a watergun, and a catch and throw type game. I think my favorite was Mashoonga!

Friday we did wedding stuff and that night we played Family Feud and Apples to Apples (LOTS of laughter involved). Saturday we grilled out, watched movies, played kickball and volleyball outside and went downtown to watch the fireworks for the annual Ghetto Watermelon Festival. Sunday we went to church, had lunch at Stonebridge, and then on to the Freedom Festival! It was rainy and pretty hot, but it was really fun! I got my own golf cart for photography, and Bill and Master P and I had some fun with it. Then Monday, we had more wedding stuff to do, and my cousin Jessica came over and we played hours of MASHOONGA! Then Diane came over for more wedding stuff… and we ended the night watching The Princess Bride and the four of us (Bill, Erin, Prosper, and I) falling asleep in the movie room. So that was my weekend being “Aunt Hay Hay”. I am having Prosper withdrawals now! He is such a fun kid.

  1. aw how fun! Prosper seems SUPER fun. I love that you love him! :) It was good seeing you guys at the Freedom Festival, even if it was only for a little bit. :)
