Did you know that big events like the Super Bowl will attract even more human traffickers to our city? Not only will hundreds of women and children be brought to the city to be sold, but traffickers will be looking for their next victims as well, often taking advantage of vulnerable children and teens (many of whom are in foster care). . If you’re within driving distance of the Atlanta area, you can help us bring an end to this horrific crime. Join me next Saturday, January 26, and let’s be trained to spot the signs of human trafficking and help educate local businesses. Every year, @inourbackyard goes into the city that hosts the Super Bowl to raise awareness and help people find freedom from sexual exploitation. Last year, volunteers handed out Missing Children booklets to convenience stores in Minneapolis and 15 of the 36 children featured were recovered within a week of the Super Bowl!! I know issues like this can seem overwhelming, but this is a practical thing you can do that actually saves lives! I’m a few weeks late on this one, but I just wanna brag on downtown Knoxville for a minute. It’s so dreamy! We stayed at the coolest @airbnb 3-story loft with exposed brick and ducts and a killer rooftop balcony. We ate quite literally one of the greatest meals of our lives at Emilia (their grilled romaine salad is life changing), and we explored some of the cutest little shops!
