I needed to be reminded of a few of these today,
so I decided to share them with the group.

  • “It is good to remind ourselves that the will of God comes from the heart of God and that we need not be afraid.” – Warren Wiersbe
  • “God’s will is what we would choose if we knew what God knows.” – Nancy Leigh DeMoss
  • “‘He defended the cause of the poor & needy, & so all went well. Is that not what it means to know Me?’ declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 22:16
  • “Our charge is to both proclaim and embody the gospel so that others can see, hear, and feel God’s love in tangible ways.” – Richard Stearns
  • “They were completely amazed & said again & again, ‘Everything He does is wonderful.'” Mark 7:37a
  • “My greatest disappointments in life are when I ask anyone or anything other than Jesus Christ to be my savior.” – Jon Acuff
  • “We don’t get to opt out of living on mission because we may not be appreciated.”
  • “Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11-12
  • “No great wisdom can be reached without sacrifice.” – CS Lewis, The Magician’s Nephew
  • Most of the time, I am not brave. I just believe in a God who will use me even though I’m not.” – Katie Davis
  • “The God who created the universe did not create too many children in His own image and not enough love to go around. We can do more.” – Katie Davis
  •  “What if, just beyond that risk, just beyond the fear is a life better than anything we have ever imagined: life to the fullest.” – Katie Davis
  • “The secret of following God’s will, I discovered, usually is wrapped up in rejecting the good for God’s best.” – Yohannan
  • What Christ can do with a willing life surrendered at His feet is more than we can comprehend.

And we’ll end with a photo of our recent Friends reunion!
