It’s a beautiful fall day here in SOWEGA. Fall and winter are my two favorite seasons, and thankfully I’m able to experience a little bit of both here in the States before I head out for South Africa, where I’ll be experiencing yet another summer.
SO, for those of you southerners finally getting to experience the glory of fall thanks to Hurricane Sandy (the only good thing she’s bringing)… I’m sharing with you the recipe of my favorite fall comfort food: Corn Chowder.
My grandmother originally created it, my mother tweaked it and made it even better, and now I believe I have close to perfected it. So plug in your crock pot, dump in the ingredients, and enjoy this fantastic weather while the kitchen does all the work!
Ooooh. I’ve been into crock-pot cooking lately (since I just got one!), so I can’t wait to try this. It sounds delicious.
Don’t want to comment on your corn chowder. I live in South Africa and want to welcome you in advance. Kimberley had a (relatively) cold winter and it seems to me we are going to have a very hot summer. Johannesburg is not so extreme in climate. Hope you have a wonderful time here. God bless you.
